Columbia's wrestling team bested 15 other schools to capture the Colonie Holiday Wrestling Tournament Saturday by scoring 229 points.

The Blue Devils had first-place finishers at 140, 189, 215 and 275-pound weight classes. Kyle Smith scored a pin at 215, while Frank Ball did the same in the super-heavyweight division.

Justin Hellwig won a 7-1 decision over Carlo Ferrandino of Colonie at 140 pounds, while Jeff Hacker defeated Mike Schnapp of Cohoes 9-5 at 189 pounds.

Mike Roberts of Colonie earned Most Outstanding Wrestler honors with his top finish in the 145-pound class. Colonie finished in fourth place in the …
