SPUDS and DUDS

The year started off in the wake of the Indian Ocean tsunami tragedy. We lost one pope and got a new one. The country lost New Orleans. More and more U.S. servicemen lost their lives in the Middle East fighting America's war on terrorism. Idaho's National Guard came back home. Boise Weekly moved to swanky new offices. Yes, it's been a busy year. We take this time every year in our annual Spuds and Duds issue to reflect, not with top 10 lists or warm-fuzzy retrospectives, but with a look back on the things that deserve a spud and things that deserve a dud.
